Central (Pier 6) to Mui Wo participant ferry times

In August, we learned that all slow (large capacity) ferries have been discontinued. As a result, we need to distribute participants across more ferries. To avoid inconveniencing Lantau residents, please assist us by adhering to the times listed below. Since the ferries will be operating at full capacity, we kindly ask you to help us and consider avoiding these ferries by arriving at Lantau earlier (for dinner/work at a friend’s, etc.) or by traveling via Tung Chung. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your ferry departs.

Race start times

Barclays MoonTrekker is an annual night hiking/trail running event held in Hong Kong that challenges participants to reach the summit of Lantau Peak before sunrise.

Event Overview

MoonTrekker 2025 features a 30km, 40km, and an *introductory 20km route starting from Mui Wo (Football Pitch/Ngan Shu Street), between 8-11pm, and finishing at Pui O Beach, Lantau Island. The 30km and 40km routes summit Lantau Peak, the second highest mountain in Hong Kong. *The 20km introductory route is only open to first-time participants and does not summit Lantau Peak. The finish line is located at Pui O Beach (new finish in 2024), where participants have access to food, drinks, government shower facilities, and transportation back to Tung Chung MTR station. Fundraising Initiative

Barclays MoonTrekker is a major fundraising event for The Nature Conservancy, an environmental charity. Since its inception, the event has raised over US$2.4 million for our charity partners. Participants must register and pay an entry fee, and separately, raise a minimum sponsorship amount of HK$500 per participant through an online donation platform, which goes directly to the charity partner. Registration

Participants can register as individuals, pairs, or teams of four or a corporate teams of four. If a company registers multiple corporate teams, their total fundraising efforts can be aggregated together and displayed as a total within the 'corporate cup' leaderboard. For the Intro20, participants can only enter as a solo.

Barclays MoonTrekker 是香港一年一度夜間大型越野活動，賽事含30, 40和入門20公里組，由大嶼山梅窩起步，終點設於長沙海灘一設備完善的場地。30和40公里組別讓參賽者 “接受日出的挑戰” 於日出前登上鳳凰山頂，鳳凰山是香港第二高峰。入門20公里組則不攀上鳳凰山，但只限首次報名本賽事人士參與。

終點：位於貝澳海灘，有冷飲，冰凍啤酒，洗手間和簡單洗浴設備。早上9時前，賽會有安排多班中巴送完賽者至東涌地鐵站（頭班公共交通巴士約於早上6時抵達)。

大型籌款活動：Barclays MoonTrekker 是本地最能為公益事業出力的活動之一，本年我們有幸再次為大自然保護協會TNC出微力。MoonTrekker 參加者首先需要在報名網頁付費報名，然後在 SimplyGiving 籌款網站分別設立籌款頁，為每名跑手分別籌到最少港幣500元善款作慈善用途。善款將不扣除MoonTrekker 任何費用，直接捐到慈善機構（大自然保護協會 TNC)手中。

多得各方大力支持，我們過去已為兒童教育及環境保護籌得超過US$2,400,000美元款項，由衷感激。

報名： 30, 40公里組分為個人，雙人，4人和企業4人隊。

入門20公里組不攀上鳳凰山，但只限首次報名本賽事人士參與。
